He does, however, hold multiple Microsoft Certifications and has been a Database Administrator, System Administrator, and Application Developer for 15 years providing full-time support to medium-sized projects.
Having gone to college for aeronautical engineering, he's never done a day of aero engineering in his life since, and he's 87% self-taught on using Microsoft technologies. He did teach an MCSE course for two years; the job offer came from the test proctor after failing the MCSE upgrade exam.
He's also not GUI guy. His stuff isn't pretty, but it works.
